All-Ukrainian Collegiate Programming Contest

The main goal of this contest is granting to the Ukrainian students the possibility to demonstrate their skills in development of algorithms as well as programs on the high international level. Besides, this event helps to raise the image of Ukraine in the IT field.

The motto of the contest: «We study. We enjoy. We win».

The contest has been organized on the initiative of the Ukrainian higher educational establishments and is held with the support of Ministry of Education and Science in Ukraine, Association for Computer Machinery (ACM) and IT company Art-master Ltd.

Three stages of the contest:

1. Internal stage – within the institute’s bounds;

2. Regional stage – in main regional institutes;

3. Final stage – in the university of the previous winner.

Teams of the Ukrainian higher educational establishments, consisting of three students and the trainer (teacher), are able to take part in the contest. Institute of the competitor team is the team’s sponsor. Certain restrictions are applied to members of the team: not more than only one member of the team can have the degree of bachelor; it is forbidden that anyone from the team had the degree of master. But there’s no limitations concerning age of competitors. More detail information about competition conditions is in the column “All-Ukrainian Contest”.

In 2006, 28 teams of 21 universities from 11 cities of Ukraine, as well as teams from Moldova and Georgia, became the competitors of the All-Ukrainian Contest. The team of Vinnytsia National Technical University came out on top.

Winning in the finale of the All-Ukrainian Contest is a voucher for competition in the World Contest on programming.
